So, for the past 4 months I have not done blog posts on sessions. And to tell you the truth, I haven’t missed doing them at all. They take SO much time and I have been able to spend more time with my kiddos and less on my computer and for that, my little family is thankful. However, I have heard from a few loyal blog followers that they miss the oodles of blog posts that used to flood this page every month. So, I think I have come up with a solution. At the end of every week I am going to do one blog post that sort of recaps that entire week. A few of my favorite images from every session that I photographed. I will still put one of two on Facebook as well, but this will give the blog followers something more to look at than just weddings.

So let’s start with this week, shall we.

Monday I photographed sweet baby Stella and she was a picture perfect baby model!  She’s a gorgeous girl!Thursday it was 6 week old Lucy’s turn.  And typically 6 week old babies are tough to photograph as they are not as sleepy at newborns, but Lucy was a rockstar.  She showed me her gorgeous blue eyes for a while and then fell into a nice deep sleep and we were able to get some adorable sleeping baby shots as well!

Friday I photograph Addy’s 2 year portraits.  I have photographed this little love bug since she was 3 months old and always look forward to our sessions.  She isn’t a huge fan of getting her photos taken, but I won out in the end as we got some super cute shots!  So, this photo pretty much sums of Addy’s view on having her photo taken.  cracks me up.  I am guessing she was trying to point another finger at me.  😉

This morning I headed to Denmark to photograph Mandy and her gorgeous baby belly.  She is due in 4 weeks and I am so excited for them as they welcome their second daughter to their family!

Friday afternoon I met Josh and Amy over at Pamperin for their maternity session. These two live in Neenah and I am so honored that they drove all the way up here to have me photograph their belly photos!  These two were naturals in front of the camera and we had such a nice time chatting and walking around the park.

Amy, I hope the next 6 weeks fly by for you! I can’t wait to meet your little man in November! Enjoy the sneak peek!

Last night I photographed a maternity session on the beach.  Now, this in itself made me excited because there are few places I like photographing more than on the water.  But this session was extra special because it was for family.  My cousin Josh and his wife Heather are expecting their first child together and they are due at the end of August.  They are having a baby boy (every Krause cousin has had a boy first!) and besides my own kiddos, I can’t think of a baby I have been more excited to meet.  Baby Jacob is already so loved and is one lucky little boy to have such a fabulous set of parents! (although, he is coming into our crazy family so I sort of feel sorry for the kid) :)

Josh and Heather, I am so excited you guys wanted to do belly photos.  Heather, you are absolutely one of the most stunning mommas-to-be I have ever seen.  The happiness within you just radiates in these photos.  And Josh, I know these photos weren’t your idea, but hopefully they weren’t too painful for you. 😉  I hope you both love the images we captured!  Can’t wait to meet that baby boy!!!!!  Love you both!

**there are a ridiculous number of images in this sneak peek.  I liked so many of the images, I couldn’t decide which ones to include so I just included them all!

love the bracelet made by Auntie Karrie!Heather, you are gorgeous.  such a perfect baby belly!future Packer backer!!!just love this shot.  that belly can’t get anymore perfect!

A few months ago Valerie contacted me about photographing a maternity session for her.  We set a date and decided to hammer out the details as the date approached.  Well, about a week ago she called me to say that she wanted to do part of her session at Lambeau Field.  INSIDE Lambeau Field(she has connections…lucky girl).  I was so excited.  If you know me, you know I love my Packers and, well, everytime I get to photograph inside the stadium it’s a huge thrill.  And belly photos there was something I had never even considered, but now that I have done it I have decided I want to get pregnant again just to be able to do the same thing.  How awesome for Val and Mike’s little boy or girl (they didn’t find out the sex) to have photos taken inside Lambeau even before they are out of the womb.  Awesome I tell you.  We headed to Pamperin Park after for a few shots too.  It was just a fabulous little session.

Valerie and Mike, it was so nice to meet and chat with you guys!  I hope you love the sneak peek and Val, I hope these next 7 weeks fly by for you!  Can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl.  I want in on the pool….I say boy!  😉

look at that picture perfect belly!!!In the tunnel the Packers run through to get onto the field.  eeee!  I was like a kid in a candy store.  I’m surprised I am not still there actually. :)such a gorgeous Momma-to-Be!

Tuesday afternoon I met Lisa and Luke over at the Botanical Garden’s for their maternity session.  Lisa is due in about 5 weeks and is such a gorgeous Momma-to-be!  She was all smiles for our entire session(as was Luke!) and just glowing. (as cliche as that sounds!)  We got some super fabulous shots of these two and that beautiful belly and the Botanical Gardens was a perfect backdrop.  Beautiful colors and lots of sunshine made for such a lovely little afternoon!

Luke and Lisa, I am so happy you guys contacted me to shoot your belly photos!  I so enjoyed our session and I am so excited for you guys to be parents….and I must say, pretty anxious to find out boy or girl…I say girl. :)  I hope you love the sneak peek!

look at that belly?!  perfect!so fun!

Wednesday morning I headed over to De Pere to photograph Nick, his wife Nicole and her adorable baby belly!  She is due in 10 weeks and has just the cutest little baby bump!  I know I say this with every maternity session, but it totally made me want to be prego again!  The three of us chatted for the entire session about all things baby AND I got to find out the sex!  We did a couple of photos that give the gender away, but those can’t be posted until after Nicole’s baby shower later today!  (they are revealing the gender at the shower with the cake-the inside will be either pink or blue!  how fun is that?!) :)

We had a gorgeous morning and got some really awesome shots as we walked up and down the trail in East De Pere.  Nick and Nicole, thanks so much for asking me to photograph your little ones ‘first’ photo shoot!  Have a fabulous time at the shower and I hope you love the sneak peek!

isn’t she a gorgeous Momma?!

Friday afternoon I headed over to Eric and Maria’s house for their maternity session.  Maria contacted me months ago regarding her maternity and newborn sessions and I LOVE when clients plan ahead like that!  And I love that she chose ME to capture such a special and beautiful time in their lives.  I had never met Maria before yesterday (although she works over at Bellin with a few other of my fabulous clients!) and when she came around the corner to greet me, I was blown away.  She is GORGEOUS.  And quite possibly one of the most adorable prego ladies on the planet.  AND we were able to photograph the entire session in their home without any backdrops or flash and only using natural light.  ACK!  It was a photographers dream.  Her and Eric were so easy to work with and just really, sweet, lovely people.  Whatever Baby A turns out to be, boy or girl, it is going to be one lucky and blessed little person! :)

Eric and Maria, thanks so much for asking me to photograph your maternity session.  I can’t wait to meet that baby!!!!  Hope you love the sneak peek!

with parents this good looking, this little baby is bound to be A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.

Friday afternoon Janelle and Eric drove all the way down from Stephenson MI for their maternity session.  You know, I have to say, I just love Yoopers.  :)  Every person I have ever met from upper Michigan is just a wonderful, good hearted person and these two were no different.  I could have chatted with them about babies and pregnancy and work and life, all day.  We did a few shots indoors and then headed over to the WildLife Sanctuary to take advantage of the gorgeous sunny afternoon.

Janelle and Eric, it was so lovely the meet you!  I am so honored that you thought enough of my photography to drive all this way!  I am so excited to find out what you are having and to see that sweet baby’s face!  I hope you love the images we captured!

Janelle is a nurse, how cute is this?!Baby E’s room has a sock monkey theme.  LOVE this.and this.  eee!  so fun!And right before we left the park, we discovered that Janelle is no longer a good person to play ‘hide and seek’ with. :)

Friday afternoon I met Julie and Jared up at Bayshore park for some maternity photos.  Julie is due in 6 weeks with their first baby, a little girl, and I was so excited to be able to capture this time with them.  Julie is just the cutest prego girl, she is literally ALL belly.  It’s just like she has a basketball under her shirt.  It’s perfect and SOOO made me want to be pregnant again! :)

We had a GORGEOUS winter day for her photos…it was almost 50 degreees outside and there was no snow on the ground.  Almost unheard of for January in Wisconsin, but I’ll take it!

Julie and Jared, it was so nice to meet you guys.  I love the images we captured of that gorgeous belly of yours and hope you do too!  Good luck with the next 6 weeks and I hope to see you again after your sweet girl arrives!

Monday evening I met Jason and Tess over at Pamperin Park for some belly photos.  She is due in 3 weeks with Baby R (whose sex they didn’t find out!) but you would never know it looking at her.  She carries their baby SO well, she looks like she has 3 months to go instead of 3 weeks!  It’s insane.  And besides that, she is drop dead gorgeous.  My goodness, the camera loved her and so did I.  I literally could. not. stop. shooting.  I am pretty sure it was my longest maternity session to date and I absolutely LOVE the images we captured!

Jason and Tess, it was SO lovely to meet you.  I am so glad we were able to squeeze in your maternity session before Baby R decides to make an appearance.   I am so excited to find out what you are having and to get my camera on that little bambino!

**I am posting WAY more photos than I usually would from any one session but I just could NOT whittle these images down as I loved SO many of them!**

seriously, how gorgeous is Tess?!

and Jason was such a good sport…I know how much guys LOVE being in belly photos 😉

the light was just insanely perfect in this field

and in case you are wondering, those are Tess’ pre-pregnancy jeans.  She doesn’t even need the big prego pants with the belly panels.  If I didn’t like her so much I would have to hate her:)

and then we headed down to the beach for some more…

such a gorgeous Momma-to-be

create. imagine. love.
