2012 ramblings

Hey all.  It has been FAR too long since my last blog post.  I had originally intended the month of December to be a relaxing one for me, but I ended up working quite a bit more than I thought I would.  I finished up editing my last session and packaging up my last prints on the 23rd of December.  The boys and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas this year.  Eddie REALLY got into the Christmas season.  He was all about behaving for Santa (well, most of the time) and watching oodles of Christmas movies and reading every Christmas book known to man.  He even memorized ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’…which is pretty fabulous:)

The week between Christmas and New Year I did NO work.  first week all year I took off completely and it was great.  Must remember to take more ‘me’ time in 2012.  All I did was stay in my jammies till noon and cuddle my kiddos all day.  perfection.

I would love to say 2012 has started out on a high note, but unfortunately, I can’t.  We lost my Grandmother yesterday morning after a battle with cancer.  The past week the entire family, all 25 of us, had been by  her side at the hospital and while it was sad, it was also an incredible thing to be a part of.  I have such an amazing family…my boys and I are so lucky to have them.  Anyway, with the funeral and arrangements all set for this week, I will be out of the office until Friday.  I am doing my best ot scramble and get sessions rescheduled and the necessary phone calls made.  If you are waiting to hear from, I promise I’ll get to you soon.  Until them, take care.  Tell all your loved ones how much you love them every time you can and cherish every moment.  each laugh.  every tear.

Thanks to those of you who left me messages on Facebook and emails in my inbox regarding Gram.  I really do have the best clients on the planet!

I leave you with a few photos of the holidays at our house…

my boys are both obsessed with the movie ‘The Polar Express’  We must have watched it 50 times this season.

Bob was too little to play in snow last year, so this was really his first time trampling around in it.  he was in awe. :)
