Tommy and Chelsea-man and wife-Green Bay Wedding Photography
So, last Wednesday I shot my very first New Years Eve wedding. The groom, Tommy, had emailed me back in August and asked if I was free on 12-31-14 and I basically jumped at the chance to spend New Years Eve outside of the house. In the past 7 years since we have had kids, we have seen midnight on exactly ONE New Years Eve. We were sleeping before 10pm on all of the others. No lie. So the thought of spending the holiday with adults and photographing the wedding of a fabulous, gorgeous couple seemed like a pretty good choice. Now, I had previously photographed Tommy in his cousin’s weddings (I think he has been a groomsmen 12 or 13 times–kind of tells you how awesome of a guy he is, doesn’t it?) and his bride Chelsea is from my hometown so I knew lots of her friends and family as well. Now, last Wednesday was cold. Really cold. Didn’t get above zero with the wind chill, but these guys were troopers. After their beautiful ceremony, we went to a few different locations for outdoors pics and although we weren’t outside for longer than 5 minutes at a crack, we were frozen by the time we were done (and I had a coat on. I can’t imagine how Chelsea managed to look relaxed and even comfortable in the outside shots, but she did!)
Tommy and Chelsea, thank you so much for asking me to document your day. I had such a good time with your friends and family and I loved watching you guys join your lives as one. I hope you love the sneak peek photos as much as I loved spending the day with you guys!
These were Chelsea’s shoes. Quite fitting considering who she was marrying 😉
I just loved the energy of these two. Just so fun and so SO happy….
Is it wrong of me to say I sort of want to party with Tommy one day? He knows how to have a good time
this may be my favorite image of the day. lol
